Past Lessons

Our lesson series has now come to a close for the summer. Please check back soon for information about our lessons/workshops for fall semester!

We had a special lesson series this summer that was free for students, $5 per lesson for ASEDA members and $7 per lesson for general admission. We try to keep our lessons as affordable as possible, but there will be slight changes made to the admission price for fall semester.

If you would like to know what our summer lesson series involved, please keep reading below:

KSU Lindy Hop Lessons on Thursdays, sponsored by KSU Swing Dance club:

We have two amazing professional dance instructors, Patrick and Natalie, who will be coming to KSU to teach us a progressive swing dance lesson series each week.

Whether you don’t know how to swing dance at all, or if you already know a little lindy hop and just want to improve, this is definitely a great way to learn more!

These lessons are:

FREE! for all students w/valid student ID

$5 per lesson for members of ASEDA

$7 per lesson for general admission

Dates of the lessons:
Thursday, May 20th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM Lesson 1 with Patrick and Natalie
Thursday, May 27th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM Lesson 1 Review with Kristen and Christian
Thursday, June 3rd, 7:30 – 8:30 PM Lesson 2 with Patrick and Natalie
Thursday, June 10th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM Lesson 3 with Patrick and Natalie
Thursday, June 17th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM Lesson 4 with Patrick and Natalie

On Saturday, June 19th, we will have our Main Dance Event to celebrate what we’ve learned!

Those who attend at least 3 lessons get into the June dance for free :)

Patrick and Natalie have been dancing, teaching, choreographing, performing, competing, and loving Lindy Hop for over 10 years. As two of the longtime members, organizational leaders and instructors of the Atlanta swing dance scene, they have been an integral part of the evolution of Lindy Hop in the southeast.

Basically, they are awesome.

Free and even $7 lessons with professional instructors isn’t a normal occurrence, so if it were me, I’d make sure to take advantage of this opportunity.

PLEASE rsvp so we know how many people to plan for! Contact ksusda@gmail.com with any questions.
